FINT103 Oil Painting 1: Monochromatic Grey

My first ever oil painting. I was surprised about how different it is to work with from acrylic. And then I went and did an acrylic painting and realised just how abnormally quickly acrylic paint dries, haha.

Anyway, we had this boring yellow still life reference for this one. And I cannot explain how weird the expression on the original bear's face looked. It was shiny and lumpy at the same time. Nasty, mean, little bear.

The eyes on my painted bear's face changed several times. It's face would get grumpier the grumpier I got with the painting. Eventually the bear's left eye was skewed half way up it's forehead. I had to paint over it and start the eye again once it dried.
