I am wanting to apply to enroll in a 200 level university creative writing paper and in order to apply I need to have a portfolio together. Unfortunately I lost almost all of my previous works of fiction when my old EHD died on me.

So basically, I am need to write and revise entirely new pieces. I have until the end of May to have a small collection of short stories finished. This means that I will be writing my stories and publishing the drafts here on DA and I will be seeking constructive criticism and peer reviews on my writing. The important thing to remember is that there are only 20 or so positions available in the class so it is selected entry. If my stories don't immediately show enough of my potential, I may not be accepted into the class.

If I finish my stories and get into this creative writing course and I do well in it, it could be the start of a double degree in Fine Arts and English for me, since I have already done enough 100 level papers to get into second year English subjects. I still need to speak to an academic adviser about this, but I think it's really exciting.
